Each piece is hand-formed from stoneware or porcelain and finished using multiple firing techniques, with emphasis on the dramatic Raku process, which yields rich textures, metallic tones, and beautifully
unpredictable surfaces.
Lisa and Hank are the heart and soul behind lisapetersART, a creative studio in New Jersey that’s all about celebrating individuality and the beauty of handmade work.
Lisa, a multimedia artist who studied at The School of Visual Arts in NYC, began her career as a commercial still-life and editorial photographer before embracing clay as a central part of her artistic
journey. Hank joined Lisa over a decade ago, and together they have expanded their creative vision and business. In addition to their ceramic work, Lisa and Hank are fish leather importers, providing
sustainable and exotic materials to artists and designers worldwide.
